If the valve seat seal ring and other parts are made of non-metallic materials, their pressure temperature rating is lower than that of the ball valve shell (metal), resulting in the actual use of ball valve pressure, temperature and medium are limited.
When the valve seat seal ring and other materials are non-metallic, the fire-resistant and anti-static structural performance of the ball valve should be considered. It is difficult to grind the ball, but it is more difficult to process the metal seal ball valve. When dust, coking and viscous media are filled into the movable sealing ring, the displacement of the valve seat will be affected, thus affecting the sealing. Therefore, it is not suitable for the medium with coking and high viscosity.
The floating ball can float freely in the valve seat, so it has the advantages of simple structure and light weight. However, it must be light enough to bear high sealing specific pressure, large operating torque and not suitable for high pressure and large diameter valves. Fixed ball valve ball will not move, the whole natural, so small torque, good sealing performance, suitable for large diameter high pressure environment, but the structure is complex, complex process, high price.
