Induction hardening process for wheel support


Induction heat treatment is characterized by its ability to finish the surface quenching of the workpiece in a very short time. In the past 30 years, induction heat treatment has developed rapidly and been widely used in automobile manufacturing industry. According to the technical requirements of heat treatment of wheels, two technological schemes are drawn up:
Scheme 1 is integral heating;
Scheme 2 is the trial production of two sets of sensors by scanning heating.
(1) The end of the workpiece is not hardened after the integral heating quenching.
(2) The depth and hardness of the hardening layer of the scanned quenched workpiece need to increase power and adjust the size of the inductor; All the angles meet the requirements, but the productivity is low, and the heat in the soft part is not easy to penetrate into people, and the heating depth is easy to be shallow, but the productivity is high, which affects the fatigue life of the product. When the wheel bracket is heated, the hardened part is finished once, which is not easy to form soft belt and has high productivity. The use of quenching waste heat for self-tempering is simple, but the sensor structure is complex, the process is inconvenient to adjust, and the sensor life is not stable. The fatigue strength of the parts has obvious correspondence with its surface stress, that is, the compressive stress is large, the fatigue strength and fatigue life are increased. As the specific volume of martensite increases in the quenching layer, the residual compressive stress can be formed for the parts with surface quenched by induction heating.
